Gus Etchegary to be inducted into the Canadian Soccer Association Soccer Hall of Fame

Eleven new inductees are being inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame next April. Being inducted into the Builder category is Gus Etchegary long time administrator from the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association.

Provincial “A” youth soccer champions

A tight 2-1 win over St. John’s earned the Under-14 girls honors for Mount Pearl while St. John’s took the Under-14 boys crown 1-0 over Mount Pearl. In Under-16 finals, St. John’s claimed the boys championship 8-0 over the Central All-stars and added the girls honours 8-0 over Mount Pearl. Mount Pearl girls and St. John’s boys were declared provincial Under-18 “A” champions Saturday. Mount Pearl won two straight games from Conception Bay South and St. John’s was the only entry in boys.

Jubilee 2006
The 2006 Jubilee Trophy Final was won by Pardise Physio, who traveled to the National Jubilee Trophy in Surrey, BC.
The following teams contested the 2006 Breen’s Jubilee Trophy League:
Senior – Marystown, Feildians, Holy Cross, Mount Pearl, Molson Kick and Paradise Physiotherapy

Youth (Exhibition Only) – CBS Under-18′s and St. John’s Under-16′s
